Hankook was founded in 1941 as the Chosun Tire Company in Korea. The name was changed to Hankook Tire corporation in 1953.
The tire first exported to Pakistan in 1962, and subsequently to Iran and Middle East. In 1982, Hankook obtainned
the certificate to export tire to Europe. The first original equipped hankook tire was Volkswagen in the year 1991, and later on,
Hankook opened multiple offices and centers in different countries such as United States, Germany, and China. In 2008, Hankook
signed a partnership with Audi to supply Hankook tire.
More events have happened, and in the year 2018, Hankook has acquired German Premium Tire Distributor.
